Apple Pay™ Getting Started

Apple Pay™ enables fast, secure payments for customers using Apple devices. With Pay Theory's integration, you can accept Apple Pay™ payments through our simple gateway integration.

Overview​

Apple Pay™ allows customers to pay using cards saved to their Apple Wallet. When integrated with Pay Theory:

  • Works on Safari browser and all Apple devices
  • Customers authenticate with Touch ID, Face ID, or device passcode
  • Payment information is tokenized for enhanced security
  • Transactions process through your existing Pay Theory merchant account

Requirements​

General Requirements​

To accept Apple Pay™ with Pay Theory, you'll need:

  • An active Pay Theory merchant account

Web Requirements​

For Apple Pay™ on your website:

  • SSL certificate (HTTPS required)
  • Domain verification through Pay Theory portal

Native iOS Requirements​

For Apple Pay™ in iOS apps:

  • Apple Pay™ Merchant ID configured
  • Payment processing certificate from Pay Theory
  • iOS app registered in Pay Theory portal
